The Four Pillars of BIRTHFIT



To functionally train throughout the Motherhood Transition in all planes of motion to develop competencies and physical skills as well as enhance the main metabolic pathways.



To create a relationship with food that is rich in color and nutrients from a wide variety of animals, fish, plants, fruits, fats, and starchy tubers, while nourishing the body through the different rhythms of life and the female cycle.



To create space between a stimulus and a response, to embrace a growth perspective, and create action around values in order to make decisions from a place of love rather than fear.

Dr. Stephanie Bryant is the Regional Director for BIRTHFIT in Fernie, BC as well as a BIRTHFIT Professional. She is also the chiropractor and owner at Kootenay Chiropractic and Sports Performance. She specializes in prenatal and postpartum care as well as athletic performance, but loves taking care of humans of all ages in her community.

After learning that birth is one of the most athletic events of your life, and that you should train for it, it was only natural that Dr. Stephanie felt compelled to expand her practice area in sports performance to include one of the most transformational experiences of your life: the motherhood transition. As an active woman herself, Dr. Stephanie found herself searching for the missing pieces in the postpartum period and what being a mother would look like for her as a woman in business/chiropractic. And then came BIRTHFIT, a seminar that Dr. Stephanie randomly stumbled upon and a movement that would eventually change her life, as well as her practice.

Dr. Stephanie loves figure skating, spin class, yoga, mountain biking, fishing, and spending time with her husband Jason and their two fur children Mia and Charlie. Though her BIRTHFIT journey is only beginning, she is overjoyed to have the opportunity to bring this beautiful movement to the Elk Valley and Kootenay Region!
